Ergonomic Design

/
Overview
/

A customer was using M&E’s ABS clip for securing 3/8” hoses with great success but wanted to improve installation when applied to larger 1/2” hoses. The existing design required increased force, leading to installer discomfort and reduced efficiency during assembly.

M&E’s engineering team collaborated closely with the customer to develop an improved solution. Through multiple iterations and prototyping, a redesigned “fox clip” was created that maintained the original performance while significantly improving ease of installation.

The result was a more ergonomic, installer-friendly clip that reduced labor strain and increased consistency. The solution proved so effective it became a standard production part.
